Based on this comparison plus Javanese ḍakəp ‘laid next to one another’ Dempwolff (1938) proposed ‘Uraustronesisch’ *Dakep ‘to join together’. I am unable to find the Javanese form in any source available to me, and the semantic agreement of the other forms is suggestive, but not sufficiently convincing in my view to justify a reconstruction at this time.
