ā   (yay).   Formant in place names.

āe   (yayẹy).   1(-i), 2(inf, tr -ik), 4, 7.   Carve; repair a boat; fix; overhaul.

āi-   (yayi-).   1.   Same as; similar to; different from.  

Āin wōt men e. It's the same as this.

Āin ḷọk wōt jemān. He's similar to his dad.

Āin juon jān e. He's different from him.

ājmuur   (yajmiwir).   Also ājmour (yajmẹwir).   1(-i), 2, 3, 4, 7.   Healthy; robust; energetic; frisky, sound, vigorous.

Kwōn bar āliji ṃōk jāntōj eo kwaar ba. Please say that sentence again.

ālijinmen   (yalijinmen).   1(-i), 2, 3.   Repetitious; repeat over and over.  

Eṃōj ṇe aṃ ālijinmen. Don't keep on saying the same thing over and over.

ālik   (yalik).   Later.  

Inaaj iwōj ālik. I'll come later.

āliki-   (yaliki-).   1, 6.   After; outside; back; behind; last.

Kwōn jab ālikinjepjepe eō bwe eṃool iọkwe in aō. Don't be unfair for my love is true.

āliklik   (yaliklik).   1(-i), 2, 3, 4.   Ashamed, concerning food; embarrassed.  

Iāliklik kōn ṃōñā kā kōnke jejjab naajdik er. I am ashamed that we're not sharing this food with them.

āliktata   (yaliktahtah).   1(-i), 2, 7.   Very last; final; finally.  

ālim   (yalim).   Transitive form of ānen (yanyẹn).  

Āl-im-kobban   (yal-yim-qebban).   From āl, archaic word referring to a type of hut with no posts, and kobban "contents": "hut with contents"   A constellation; stars in Centaurus (1, 2, 3) or Corvus.  

ālkōk   (yalkẹk).   1(-i), 2, 3, 7, 10(ālkōk, alkōk).   Bent back; perfective form of ālāl (yalyal).  

Ealkōk akkiin peiū. My fingernail got bent back.

ālkwōj   (yalqej).   1(-i), 2(inf, tr -e), 7, 10(ālokjak).   To fold; to bend.  

ālokjak   (yaleqjak).   1(-i), 2(inf, tr -e), 3, 7.   Bent over; crimped; perfective form of ālkwōj (yalqej); buckled.  

Eālokjak jaki eo. The mat is crimped.

Eālokjak neō. I turned my ankle.

Joñan an kadek eḷak tan jutak eālokjak neen. He was so drunk when he tried to stand his legs buckled.

ām   (yam).   2, 3, 7.   To tip, as of canoe; sail with outrigger out of water.

āmej   (yamẹj).   2(inf, tr -e, āmije), 4, 6(-i), 7.   Mourn a deceased; pay respects to a deceased; see ilomej.
