NOTE: Before booking your conference lodging, please take a look at our Registration section. Be aware that there will be a cap on conference registration, so not everyone will be able to get in. It may be best to wait on making flight and lodging arrangements till you have secured registration, especially if you are an attendee who is not presenting.

Conference participants are responsible for their own accommodations. We are negotiating special room rates with local hotels. We have also made arrangements for on-campus lodging options. The number of rooms at both are limited, and you are encouraged to reserve your room in a timely manner.

For those staying at the conference hotels, we plan to provide a shuttle bus to and from the Imin Center each day of the conference.

*IMPORTANT NOTES regarding the Courtyard Waikiki Beach*:

  1. Deluxe rooms ($189/night) are in the Royal Hawaiian Tower, which will be done with its complete renovation by December 2024. Most of the rooms in our block are here.
  2. Standard rooms ($169/night) are in the Kuhio Tower, which will undergo renovation next, floor by floor, so it is likely that there will be periodic noise from construction during normal business hours.
  3. Please be advised that the rooms are on the small side, especially the Standard Room (199 square feet). The Deluxe Rooms are 299 square feet. For more details about these rooms, see the hotel website.
  4. When booking online, online prices will show a $35 destination fee (required per transparency law). All waived destination fee and discounted valet parking rate will NOT show up online, but these special concessions will be honored on property.

All room rates are quoted exclusive of applicable state and local taxes for single or double occupancy. Currently, a 4.712% general excise tax and a 13.25% transient accommodation tax apply to the room rate. Such taxes are subject to change without notice. Third and fourth person are at a charge of $45.00 per night. Children under 18 may stay for free in their parent’s room using existing bedding.

ON-CAMPUS HOUSING  

For the budget traveler, Lincoln Hall provides affordable and convenient on-campus lodging. It has a reception desk to provide check-in and check-out services, which can also take messages, provide change for laundry and vending machines, issue spare keys, and provide general information. Air conditioning is NOT available at Lincoln Hall. 

If you are interested in staying at Lincoln Hall, please contact the East-West Center Housing Office directly to make your reservation. Be sure to mention that you are an “ICLDC” Call-In group member” so you can get the special rates. 

Please make your reservation as early as possible for your best chance at getting a room. They fill up quickly.

Lincoln Hall (exterior)

Lincoln Hall is a four-story building serviced by one elevator. All standard ($94/night) and corner ($116/night) studios have cable TV, telephone service, internet access, and private bathroom/toilet facilities. Kitchen units ($134/night) have a kitchenette.

Lincoln Hall Desk Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (After hours check-in can be done at Hale Manoa, down the street, which is open 24 hours) 

Late check-outs will result in a one night’s room charge.
