COVID-19 Statement

Due to COVID-19, ICLDC 2021 was held virtually. The ICLDC 7 organizers are excited about this year’s theme, and the possibilities for broad international discussion that an online conference can offer.

We will be hosting a virtual conference in Zoom and we are refining what shape the conference will take and how best to accommodate time zone differences for presenters, as well as family and work obligations.

For our virtual conference, these are the registration rates:

Early registration (Please note, early registration has now closed)

  • Student: $5
  • Kama‘aina (Hawai‘i resident) / Pacific island resident: $5
  • Non-university affiliated: $10
  • University-affiliated: $20
  • Developing country: $5 (with the option to request free registration, case-by-case)

Regular registration (February 1 through registration deadline – February 28)

  • Student: $15
  • Kama‘aina (Hawai‘i resident) / Pacific island resident: $15
  • Non-university affiliated: $20
  • University-affiliated: $35
  • Developing country: $5 (with the option to request free registration, case-by-case)

We are sorry but the conference registration deadline (February 28) has passed. We are no longer accepting registration requests.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

We now use TouchNet for our registration fee payment transactions. It accepts MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or JCB. Charges will show up as “UHM CALL CONF” on your credit card statement, which stands for “University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, College of Arts, Languages & Letters Conference.”

Cancellation policy: To receive a refund of the conference fee, cancellation requests must be submitted via email (icldc@hawaii.edu) no later than March 3, 2021. A $2 processing fee will be subtracted from all refunds. There are no refunds for cancellation after March 3, 2021.
